Flowers look a bit shaky

It is 8.30, cold morning 6 C. It is nearly mid October, how long we be away from Canadian winter. I think, it is already late. Just have to face whatever is there. 

I am sitting in my eat in kitchen, having my breakfast, oatmeal porridge and my morning tea. Not having stir fried egg today. I skip eggs, some days. We have to watch at our age. Have to be careful with what to eat.

Deck is all wet. Must be raining early morning. Grass is green. Flowers are not in good mood, not smiling. They look a bit shaky, must be thinking about the time ahead. Real Canadian winter is not far. Trees around also look a bit nervous, not in a mood.

It is 9.30, I am in my room, beside my computer, checking the day time temperature. It will be in single digit for couple of hours. I have to decide for my walk. 

I have to make couple of calls. It is too early for that. We have to keep in mind that the person, we are calling, must be in good shape, to talk. Not too early, not too late for him. 

I am getting ready, will call later. It is 7 C now, looks windy too. I have to dress up in layers, that will be fine.

It is 11.15, I am in Dollarama, getting chocolates for my grand kids and socks for myself. I will go to Metro to get some bakery stuff, after that.

It is 12.15, I am back, loaded with goodies. Kids will be happy. I have Pizza buns, Croissants, and muffins. I got couple of  bananas too for milkshake. They will be happy. I will be happy too, putting smile on their faces. Life is all good.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. It looks like a usual wintry day. No snow. Everything working, normal routine. Nothing stops, so is my walk. I am at Tim H

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
