1st Day of December
Tuesday -- Beautiful cold morning with 7 C below zero. December already started, what you expect, it is Canada my Dear. White stuff showering from above the sky. It looks a virgin land all around. Trees all decorated. Looking beautiful with white cottony flowers. Bodies of skeleton trees, dusted with white powder. Amazing.
Red wooden bench on the left side of my front garden, looking great on the white land. The land, which used to be my lawn. Weather channel predicting 10 cm of snow. Glass top of my garden table, showing that 4 cm is already there and day just started. Let us see.
My back started giving me problems. This is our old age saga. Things start coming up at this period of our cycle of life. Body indicates to slow down. We just have to do accordingly. I mean listen to our body but don't have to be a couch potato. Have to do things in slower motion. Don't have to stop our routine activities. Remember what we don't use, we start losing.
I was up early, also out of bed too. Sometimes we woke up but our body wont let us out of bed. We have no choice, stuck and listen to our body. In mornings, our mind not in a Mode to take drastic actions. He is also in drowsy mood. Not in a position to take decisions, to direct our body to take the right path.
For a change my mind superseded my body, I was out of bed too. It is 9. 45, I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room, enjoying the scenic view from my window. My computer is switched on, to connect me with my loved ones.
My back is much better. I learned to tackle these things. I know these sort of things will start coming up, like usual day to day matters at our age. What you expect with about quarter a century old piece of machinery.
I start my day with five minutes stretch exercises, on my bed room carpet. Today I spent more time for my stretches. Hot water shower helped me out too. We Humans learn to handle whatever is there. We are able to adopt and make adjustments accordingly. We are really amazing Creatures of God. His great pieces of Creation.

ReplyDeleteI have posted the blog in the Smile Corner. There is a line up of people outside as the security guards are helping to keep social distancing as you ordered. I am hearing from some customers that the priest has taken pictures when we were not observing social distancing and is planning to send it to the authorities. One customer was suggesting that I should start saving money to get a good lawyer, just in case. I dont want to do it at this time because it is just a rumour right now

It was small, and should have finished in only 1 day work but I give you 2 days to finish. Also I told you that it was important and need finish early. I say I no finish because I was not in mood. We need listen to our body. He say what the heck are you talking about? I say I know it very complicate but my Madam explain in blog. I then take copy of blog from my pocket and give to him to read. I think he was getting virus because he become red, so I go out room fast. He say where you going, we need talk.. I say my Madam tell me to do social distancing. I think he got headache to and voice become bad. I do 2 proud job and always read blog

ReplyDeleteThe retirees went for our long walk today. Some retirees said that we should also cancel our walks as you are indicating through your actions to not go out in winter however others thought that even thought it is 14C, it should not stop us from going out. After that we had our lollipop. This walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees were very tired as we are out of practice for few days since it has been very cold here too with temps consistently around 15C.
Today's blog reading was very well attended. The retired chef led the reading of the recipe blog and the retired professional athlete led the reading of your main blog. The hospital administrator, the retired nutritionist, the retired dietician, physicians, health care workers, as well as ex patients, and several more attended the reading of your blog. The recipes are very popular here. As is typically done, the baked beef recipe will be included in many menus effective today/
Since the banning of Hindus from the gatherings as per your instructions, the retired priest has taken a bigger role. We were thinking of banning all Indians but he said Christian Indians should not be banned as you a good Christian lady. The retired priest has also put a donation box in the restaurant. He is collecting donations from everyone but specially hijab lady and the Sikh temple people. The donations are to hire someone to take care of his dogs during the times when he comes for blog readings.

ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the Smile Garden today. The plan was to read at the SRC but because of all the issues that we are having with the coronavirus, the Dean asked us to have the reading at the Smile Garden. The reading was uneventful but after the reading the Smile Army idiots started asking everyone if they have done the stretches in the morning. Some students did that and others did not. The Smile Army idiots started yelling at them and picked fights. In the end the Dean decided to call the police. The police officers came in their regular clothes. It was complete chaos.
Many students living with their parents are having problems with their parents. Their parents bring up uncomfortable subjects during dinner. When the students want to eat alone at dinner, they get yelled at. We know that Master Slurpee and Golden Boy are probably not having to deal with it but for us, we dont know what to do. Some are thinking to do what the Lucky Guy did and live on campus. It is getting worse every day for us.
