The Inside Child Peeping out
Friday -- Beautiful sunny morning with 3 C. No rain, no snow, no sub zero temperatures, great. Looks like a summer for we Canadians. Time to get out, time to enjoy. My friend, the Black Squirrel is busy with his exercises on the wooden fence of my back garden. He looks very particular, always trying, keeping his body in shape.
It is 10. 30, I am done with my breakfast and with my morning chores at downstairs. I already emptied the dish washer to put everything in place. I spent some time n the TV room to be with my son. He is busy with his work on computer. I made sure not to disturb him.
Sometimes just staying with your loved ones, matters a lot. We don't have to talk. That is not required. Our body, our presence is good enough. It communicates in it's own way. Every person has his own individuality. Body emits special rays, which spread peace and tranquility, for the loved ones.
This is a two way process. We have to be sure that the other person feels the same way for us. Sometimes, it becomes annoying and results into personality conflict, if there is no coordination between the people, we are around.
Our face is like the report card of our personality. It displays the weather report of our inside. The inside feeling, which we not able to express, this all is loud and clear on our face. We don't have to say anything. The other person can get the message.
We have to clearly read these messages of the people around, to set our limits. Sometimes the other person is not in a mood to be with anyone around. He wants his own space, his own time alone slot. Sometimes he is busy. We have to respect his privacy.
We have to check the face expression, to get the message but don't have to make any announcement. Stay away from his personal territory. No interference for now. No talks, he doesn't need company, just leave him alone. Everyone needs his own personal space. We have to respect that.
It is 11.45, I am at Petticoat Creek. Water is glittering under the sun. I can see Sea Gulls on the left. I think, they are taking a break to socialize, to enjoy their time with family and friends. I see "Go train" passing on the overhead bridge. This train runs through the Municipalities to connect.
Trains are my childhood fascination. I still enjoy watching trains. I think there is a child hidden in everyone's inside. We try to hide this child of ours but sometimes he succeeds to peep out, to defeat our cover up personality. This child is our real face, our real self.
I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This being the weekend, lots of customers are waiting outside the shop. The priest is here and giving veggie omelette for free to anyone who says Morning Smile. The councillor is worried and said that this is a trick from priest as there is no social distancing outside and people have to take off masks due to the omellete. The councillor is saying that I should stop this but I think the priest is doing all this to respect you. It is also giving ideas to others and some other customers are planning to bring food tomorrow. Its a festive atmosphere here

Your daughter in law is so lucky. You are so positive and so active. You help out in the kitchen. Do your own laundry. All mother in laws should be like you. You are the best mother in law in the world.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reader
My daughter in law is very rude. She has started to put your blog on fridge and say to me that I should do what you do. She does not let me spend time with my son and grandkids alone. She says I should be like you and spend time with everyone together like you. I told her that this is all fiction and not real as no one can do that in reality.

ReplyDeleteDear Advisor,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog with a lot of amazement. We are very surprised that you choose to spend time with your son after he has done so much to you. The retirees still cannot forget the episodes of him not even taking you to the doctor after you survived a potentially catastrophic injury as the Pickering public bus driver closed the door on you. We also remember vividly that he chose to have you take public transit after your eye examination. There are many other incidents eg taking you to the lake in frigid wintery conditions, taking you to stores in the middle of Covid 19 etc are just mind numbing to us.
The retirees were equally amazed that you empty dishwasher at your home ! The retirees don't understand why you are being asked to do it. The retirees living in joint family situations were almost in tears at the condition that you have to to go through.
The retired behavioural scientist was amazed that you have described the newly researched phenomena of interaction of rays on human psyche. She said that this is simply mind blowing at the way you described the scientific phenomena.
The Hindus who have been allowed to attend the readings while staying in the back seats brought Indian sweets. They clarified that this is like champagne. We all enjoyed it however the hijab lady and her temple people refused to eat it. We found this to be strange because they do eat sweetening items so they are not concerned about diabetic issues and dont have dietary concerns. The retired priest pointed this out and continued to insist that everyone eat the Indian dessert. Since the hijab lady and the Sikh temple people refused, he insisted that we pass a resolution banning the Sikh temple people from the readings. The resolution did not pass as we know that you dont like to ban people from readings, however there wa a comprised reached where we asked the Sikh people to be sitting in the last row. They didnt like it as there are usually dogs near the back row. These are not the dogs of the retired priest but other patrons of the restaurant. As I mentioned last week, the retired priest has started a trend and other restaurant patrons have started to bring their dogs and this is making the life really difficult for the Sikh people due to their phobia of dogs. The phobia became worse due to last week’s incident that I have already mentioned
thank you

Dear Author,
ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the Smile Garden today. Even though it was a weekend and the exams are in full bloom but we had a house full. The Dean was here today and so was professor George. There were also many other professors and faculty members in attendance. The Dean and Prof George were heard talking about the blog. They were specially impressed about your writing style. Some of the professors of the English language were amazed how you described complicated concepts and also talked about common every day events. Professor George tasked one professor to work with his team to find ways to decipher your folksy style.
Though the exams are going on these days, but since your message to the Smile Army volunteers about Smile feeders, the idiots are taking lots of time to fill the feeders. The Dean tried to convince the fools that you didnt mean that they should not focus on studies but they take your words literally.
thank you

My Smile is amazing! She is an amazing counsellor. She is an amazing advisor. She is an amazing writer. What an amazing person my Smile is!!
ReplyDeleteThough you have been sharing your counsel with the retired and elderly, we have also been shamelessly stealing from the playbook and reaping benefits. Some of this may appear to be common sense however it is anything but common.
ReplyDeleteWe have also been taking inspiration from your penchant for active lifestyle and endeavoring to use some of the positive and active messaging in our Covid response narratives. We also endeavour to follow in your footsteps on a personal level. We do have to admit that our goal is to achieve 30% of your active lifestyle. We realize that this is a laughable goal but for sloths like us, it is a mean feat.
thank you for making our days brighter
