People we Love always matter

Beautiful morning, cold and sunny. It is 16 C, feels like 27 C below zero, will be 34 C below zero, later on. I am in Edmonton, staying at Argyll Plaza Hotel. It is 15 minutes drive from my daughter's place. It is 8.30 morning, I am going  downstairs, to Lobby, to have breakfast. It is continental breakfast, simple one, still everything is there. Variety of muffins, bread, Cereals, Juices, Boiled egg, Fruit yogurts, Tea, coffee, Butter jam and honey.

What else, we need. It is more than enough to enjoy our morning. We, I mean, me and my son, will leave after breakfast, to my daughter's place. She is working from home, will be busy with her work and meetings. I will give tea/ coffee, snacks, something to eat, to make her day. Moments to cherish for me. Couple of more days, in Edmonton, I will be leaving on Saturday. we have to value our moments in hand. Time flies, for never to come back. 

I came here, in Edmonton on Sunday, the 19th. Our plane landed at 4.30. It was 6.30 of my time in Toronto. We were stuck for about an hour in plane as Crew staff was not there. Luggage also took long, to collect. Anyway, my daughter was there to pick me and my son. We were at her place, at about 6.30. Had nice dinner together. She gave her car, to make things easy for us. We came to our hotel, around 10.30. 

Yesterday, my late youngest sister's daughters were also came. One from Boston, the other one from Denver. We picked them up from Airport, at 5.30 and 8.30, last night. They are staying, 10 minutes away from our hotel. It was amazing, to enjoy dinner with everyone together, last night. They are working from home. It is 5.15, we are going to pick them up, from their hotel. They will be here too, to enjoy at my daughter's house. 

My daughter's younger son is here. Her elder son will also be here, any time, tonight. He is driving from States. My daughter is happy. So many special people in her life, will be here, to make the moments, special, for her. People, we love, always matter.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
