My Trip to Edmonton

It is 11:30 in the morning, sunny, bright, and cold. Feels like 26 degrees Celsius below Zero. I'm done with my breakfast at my hotel, getting ready to leave for my daughter's place. The groom, my daughter is to be married with, is here too, with me. My daughter gave one of her cars to my son to commute. It will be easy for the groom too as he is staying at the same hotel. He is a nice guy. He is my youngest daughters brother in law, use to live in London, England. We know him for years. My daughter, to be married lives in Edmonton, Alberta. They two will sort out where to live later on, to start a new life. 

It is 12:20pm, I'm at Costco, sitting in the food court area, enjoying my time alone slot, writing my blog. This is like talking to my reader's family. My son is busy doing groceries with his to be brother in law. 

One lady came to me, asked to sit on the seat in front, on my table. She started talking to me. I postponed my blog writing. I believe, whenever we get a chance to come in contact with any human fellow, it denotes a signal from God, to get our day brightened, to make our day. We never have to say "No" to that. Have to avail that chance at priority. We became friends in no time, exchanged our phone numbers and email addresses. All credit goes to her. She started it.

It is 1.15, we are at the library in Edmonton. My son in law to be, has to do some printouts for wedding documents. I am walking around, browsing books and magazines of my choice. I picked a book from kids area. Very basic one, hard book with pictures and brief writings, short and eye catching. "I am Human", I read that from cover to cover. Interesting. I write down some of the lines, I jotted down from that book. These are like lessons for we, grown ups, we adults too. 

" I am one of the billions, but unique. I will choose not to fight, but to listen. Not to judge but to understand. " Amazing. We can get things from anywhere, even from our kids, to improve our behavior, our attitude. We have to stop judging people. Just try to understand. Life will be much better, much easier for everyone. Trust me.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
