Moments to lock, to Enjoy later
Beautiful day, sunny morning, it is 8.15, I am enjoying my back garden, sitting on my Deck. My friend, the White Butterfly whispering to her friends, the White and Purple flowers. I can see smile on their faces. Black Squirrel is busy with his workouts on the wooden fence, at the back of my garden.
A cool Breeze is touching my face. Aroma of scented atmosphere is all around me. Red and Golden yellow flowers look great in the flower bed on the back. For now, I am into it, admiring the stunning beauty of Nature. Amazing, moments to cherish.
My daughter, the middle one, visiting Canada, is now at my place. I went to Belville, with my eldest grandson, the Lucky Guy, to pick her up, from her in law's place. Nowadays, very busy for me. I am busy gathering memorable moments, to lock up in my "Memory Box", to enjoy after.
Last night, I went to Frenchmen's Bay, to enjoy the scenic view of Dusk, watched colors of sunset, together. My son took me there. My daughter captured the moments in her Phone, got our pictures with scenic backgrounds. She looked happy, spending time with her loved ones. Family is family, no doubt about that.
It is 11.30, my daughter's friend is here, at my place. Years back, they did their Bachelor Degree in Engineering together. Now they both are married with Kids and family of their own. I know her well, she used to come to my place, for combined study with my daughter. Things change.
Friendship is like treasure, specially school age friends are very precious. To maintain relationships, we need lots of patience and tolerance. "Give and Take", is key for all relationships. Nothing works one sided. No pain, no gain, keep that in mind.
I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Thank you for writing this blog because I was able to post it and that helped reduced the size of the protest. I think you are not getting my comments but I have been writing that the customers think that I am not posting your blogs regularly. This is making the customers furious and they are protesting in front of Smile Corner. Some customers also protested in front of my home. They all think that I am negligent in posting the blogs. I explained to them that either you are not writing the blogs regularly or I am not getting it because of Google problems but they dont believe me. They said that last year when you went on vacation, you told everyone that you will not be writing but you have not said that at all. Even out of towners are now involved. They have hired 4 or 5 buses to bring protesters to my town this weekend. Even my wife joined the protest and is refusing to serve dinner to me. I am sorry to bore you with these details when your daughter is visiting you. Thank you again for today’s blog

She say that good but I think you have lot work too. Remember that what Mr. Supervisor was telling you, that this is big project and all people need finish by Monday. I say yes but I plan take day off tomorrow to go Church and say thanks. She say “WHAT!? Remember you took 3 days off last week to prey for Madam and Mr Supervisor almost fired you. I say yes but I am so happy that I need go Church. Happy Worker say then you should look for another job then because Mr Supervisor told everyone that this is important project and if anyone does not finish it by Monday then they will be fired. ReplyDeleteThe retirees all erupted with joy this morning when we went to the cafe and we were all treated with a fresh new blog. Though we are aware of your daughter visiting you, we were still concerned about your well being, specially your safety because your son can get a little out of hand with his antics. Some retirees still cringe with fear when we recall that he made you take buses after your eye exam, and when he was so careless as to not even take you to a hospital for a check up after the bus incident. Anyways it is good that you are well and enjoying time with your daughter
I have been writing to you about the temple people but I am not sure if you are getting them. So my apologies if I were to repeat them here. The retired spy and retired priest worked together and have video evidence to confirm that several kids were harmed during several days of beating. They also noticed coffins at the site. They are collecting more evidence and are planning to bring this to the attention of the children welfare society so they can put these kids in good Christian families for a safe upbringing. Many retirees were against this as you already explained last year that this is normal but some new retirees have joined and they voted to proceed with the investigation. Your Indian compatriots were also in agreement to proceed with this investigation. The retired judge turned down the initial request to proceed but after seeing the evidence, he said that he will wait for your comments before turning it over to the children welfare society. The temple people, including the hijab lady, have not been coming to the blog reading sessions so we have not been able to get their perspective
The Smile with Smile committee asked me to let you know that since you have not shared the recipe this week, they will reuse the recipe from the past. They dont want to stop the program as the hospital patients and staff would be deprived of their mental health that they get from your blog. The retired chef was a little concerned though as he is getting lots of complaints from the 5 star properties and restaurants about not getting new recipes.

ReplyDeleteThere was a big celebration today as we read your blog. We have been gathering regularly for the regular reading however were very concerned when we did not see any new blogs. Dean and Prof George did their best to calm down Smile Army because they immediately thought that you son is to somehow the reason for you not writing the blogs. Dean was very worried too though outwardly he was telling everyone just calm down. Today, as we were reading the blog, there was a smile on his face as he stood up to listen during the reading
There is a new set of students who are now coming to listen to the blog as a no. of the original batch has graduated. Some of the students, like me, have chosen to do Masters because we dont want to stop getting associated with the blog reading sessions. A no. of Smile Army students have actually decided to skip a year and stay in uni.
For some of the students who have graduated, they are starting to find jobs. The challenge is that parents expect them to start paying for petrol, food etc. Many students are planning to not give any money to the parents, not even for coffee, petrol, snacks, dinners etc as we want to build our savings first. The parents also want us to stay when their relatives come. What is that !! We dont really care about the relatives so we do our own stuff. But Lucky guy, Master Golden and Slurpee boy wont know about these challenges as you are taking care of them and protecting them from your son.

Your blog has some very useful lessons which can be applied to corporate world. I have asked our VP of Customer Service to look at this blog and use it as a blue print for customer service. Just like Smile is connected with her friends and relatives, we need to do what we can to have long term relationships with our customers
