I posted the blog in Smile Corner. Customers are flocking in to read the blog after work before going to their homes or pubs. There is no room to sit but they are standing and having fun. I am almost out of supplies. The priest is here too and taking notes. Some customers said hello to him and was giving veggie omelette to anyone who says Morning Smile. It is a fun atmosphere thanks to Smile blogs

ReplyDeleteThe retirees did not go for our long walk today. The retirees were feeling tired and very cold. Our walk, though very long for us, is nothing compared to the walks that you have. The retirees instead went straight to the reading of your blog.
The retirees would felt very humbled and honoured that you acknowledged our small and trivial contributions. The fact is that without your blogs we would not have been able to do anything. Even now, all our out reach activities such as the hospital meal / food program, the Smile with Smile initiative, the numerous academic research projects and thesis, the joint family subcommittee etc are really based on the material and guidance that YOU provide. The retired chef also wanted us to add that there are several 5 star properties who offer a Smile breakfast menu and there are some 4 star properties which offer a complete Smile plan (ie breakfast, lunch, dinner as well as snacks). In essence, without YOU, we would not be able to function
PS: The cafe manager is requesting that if you can also provide some ideas/recipes for hot beverages.

ReplyDeleteBased on the depth and breadth of the topics, we are not astounded by the need for the retired ladies and gentlemen to establish various subcommittees. Prior to leading your online journals, we thought that we were somewhat literate however these dissertation put us in our place. The inordinate amount of time that we spend researching the topics that you write so fluently about tells us that we have a lot to learn. Please dont misunderstand us, we are not complaining and critiquing your work, we are merely pointing out our shortcomings.
ReplyDeleteAside from the potency of the material that you share, I think it will be dishonest of us not to highlight the fluency of your writings. As one of the gentlemen pointed out, you have a way with words. You can take a very complex topic and present it in such simple form, that even a layman like us can grasp its meaning. We submit your recent blogs on parenting and listening as artifacts to support this submission.
All in all, we appreciate you writing for us regularly and not complaining when we dullards a little slow to keep pace

ReplyDeleteWe read your blog at the SRC today. We had some of the Great Friends who came to the reading of the blog. They dont talk to anyone and the Dean has mentioned to us to not bother them and not ask them qs. The students are still having our exams so are very stressed. Though the exams are ongoing, the faculty of metallurgical engineering came for the reading of the blog. The senior professor was seen talking to Prof. George who was showing them copies of your past blogs. One of the Smile Army volunteer asked the metallurgical engineering profs if this was a well use of their time, and they responded that it is because they can use your stye to write thesis and reports. He clarified that this is what they were discussing with Prof George ie how they can leverage your blogs to enhance writing skills.
Some of our friends are dreading the weekend because they have received their marks and they have to call their parents over the weekend to share the details. Though they have marks in the 80s, the parents are expected to temporarily take away phone access. They dont understand that we cant get 100%. Hopefully your grandson is in better shape
