Weather is getting tricky

It is mixed sunny warm wintery day. Tough choices for us to make, what to wear, to get out, on these days. Warm under sun, cold under shade. It is 12.30, I am going for my walk, standing beside my coat closet. I have to select something suitable from the stock. 

I picked my black and grey jacket to wear. It looked perfect, not too light, not too heavy. I took my red woolen stole too for just incase. I walked for a while, was about to enter Whites Road. I was not comfortable, feeling a bit cold. I gave a second thought to my jacket. I think, have to go back to change for a heavy one. I got my black hoody.

I am on the way to Tim Hortons. I am missing my gloves, my hands are cold. I keep one pair of gloves in all my coats and jackets, how come I missed this one. Anyway, we learn lessons out of all this. Next time I will be careful to check things before getting out. 

My daughter, my youngest one is calling me from Reading. I have to cross Whites Road, have to take Sheppard, to go to Coffee House. Timer just started. I have 20 seconds to cross, enough time to take call, while I am crossing, it can be managed.

We don't have to miss calls from our kids. They are busy with work and family. We have to take their calls on top priority. It is great, they take time to talk to we parents. Their call is more than enough to make our day. 

My son just told me that there is Coyote, around in our area. He saw one, while coming back from his walk. He was worried about me, asking me to be cautious, reminded me to give a call, when I reach Coffee House.  

I am here, have to call my son. My daughter is still on call, talking to me, I will add my son to connect him too. We feel lucky while our kids get worried about our health and safety. We have to appreciate in whatever way, they express their feelings. Every individual is different. Some can express, some not.

We don't have to judge them. Never have to compare, it won't be good for siblings relationship. It is good to see our family intact. We have to keep filters on, while talking to them about each other. Family binding is priority. We have to keep that in mind.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
