Like so many other people, he is also enjoying his weekend. Everyone at my place, are sleeping too. Just me and my son are up.  I am having my breakfast, sitting in my eat in kitchen, beside patio doors. It must be raining early morning. My deck is all wet, washed and clean. Grass is lush green. My garden is looking great.  My friend, Black Squirrel is busy with his work outs on the wooden fence of my garden. He is also an early riser. I am enjoying all that and the view of my back garden.  It is 10.15, I am in my room with my computer switched on, browsing my Facebook messages. Messages are great to keep us connected with our family and friends, with our loved ones. I am getting ready to go for my walk. I just checked weather. It is not too cold, still have to dress up in layers. It is bet...

Time to ring out the old

December 26th 2023 Its a mixed sunny cloudy morning. Not too cold. Not below zero temperature. Perfect day to get out. I am just done with my breakfast. Everyone is sleeping. Weekends are time to doze off, to take a break.  My son usually wakes up early. I think he must be on computer and calls. My grandson, the middle one, Master Golden left with couple of his friends to Japan. It was a long journey from Toronto. First go to Dallas, from there fourteen hours to Tokyo.  His flight to Dallas was late, so he missed the flight to Tokyo. It was all messed up. He was to reach Tokyo early morning. He reached late, 9.30 at night. Flight was taking long rout via Alaska, due to wind storm. It was 5.30 in the morning at our place, in Toronto. My son must be hooked up with his computer, tracking my grandson's flight. He  is just awake. Weather is great. I am getting ready to go for my walk. It is 2 C, not below zero, still I have to be dressed up in layers. It is 11.30, I am ...

Sun is shining in full bloom

Image
December 19th 2023 Beautiful bright sunny morning. It is 6 C below zero, feels like 14 below. Not a day to walk. I think, I have to skip. I will find other plans to fill in my day schedule. It is good to get busy, helps to keep us away from negative thoughts. It is a bit chilly. Morning frost, like a white silvery powder is dusted all around, looking beautiful. Sun is shining up and above, in full bloom. It is beauty of Canada that sun is there to make our days brighter, even in cold below zero temperatures.  New year is just couple of days away. It is Tuesday, garbage pick up day in our neighborhood. All, blue, grey and green bins, are lined up on driveways, ready to be picked up.  I salute my friends, our front line workers, for making our lives easy and so streamlined. They did marvelous job, especially in our COVID days. It is 9.15, I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room with my friend, my computer. It helps me to connect with my loved ones, always ready to...

Takes time to be back on track

16th Dec 2023 Beautiful sunny bright day. Great weather. It is 10.15 in the morning, 4 C, no rain, no snow. It is like a summer here, in Canada. This is Saturday, another weekend. Life is passing. Days are switching from one to another. Moments are slipping.  We have to be aware of all that before it is too late. I mean, do what you can, to enjoy, to make your day. We never know, God forbid, our health may not be the same to handle the things we like to do. Get busy with whatever you like to do. Great day. Sun is shining, up and above in full bloom. I am done with my breakfast, sitting in my room with my computer switched on. Blinds of my windows, are drawn up. I am enjoying the scenic view outside. Trees around look like skeletons, standing quietly, looks it is not windy. Calm and quiet atmosphere. My neighborhood looks very quiet. Cars are staying on driveways, waiting for orders. Just now, lady from the house across, came out with her dog, going for walk. Nothing else, I ...

Story Book of Life

Image
December 12th 2023 Beautiful morning. Due to global warming, it is not so cold. It is nearly mid Dec. and still temperature is in plus, not below zero. New year is just about two weeks away. Another new year. New targets to meet.  We become over ambitious, make big plans for every New year. Long list, to do so many things, hard to fulfill all of our goals. We have to be realistic, while making, "Things to do list". I take it like one day at a time. Just plan for a day. We have twenty four hours, every morning. Plan for that.  Every day is like a chapter in the story book of our life. We go on compiling, every moment. Every moment matters. Plan and enjoy every moment in hand.  Try to take a break, to smell Roses, to behold the scenery around, to relax and to get inner peace. Spread happiness. Try not to interfere with other peoples personal matters. Respect everyone's privacy. I think, this is the recipe to live life happily, to compile a good story book of our life...

At Tim Hortons, enjoying time alone

December 9th 2023 It is weekend, cloudy day. It was raining early in the morning, it just stopped. Everything looking great, beautiful, after having morning shower. Everyone in the house, is sleeping. Me and my son are awake. He is busy with his computer. I am in kitchen, making oatmeal porridge for my breakfast. It is 9.30, I am done with breakfast, enjoying my morning tea.  Now sitting in my room, beside my computer, browsing Facebook messages. I will check my table calendar, later for things to be done today.  I just checked, have to do my hair wash. It is easy to mark on calendar. You don't have to remember, what to do. I don't wash hair every day. Not much left. I am surprised how come, so many are still there, on my head. I will go for shower before kids are awake and washroom will be on hold for hours.  I will go, get it done. First, I will do my hair wash, after that will focus on other things to do.  I have to make couple of calls.  My lat...

I will skip, not taking any chances

Image
December 5th 2023 It is a mixed cloudy sunny morning. Sun is, still not fully awake. Weather is great. Not cold. No rain, no snow. It is 1 C, not below zero. Like a sort of summer for us in Canada. Beautiful day to go for walk. I will skip, not taking any chances. I have to be careful for couple of more weeks. This is the fourth week after my car accident. Chest pain is not as much as was before, still it is there. Not completely gone. I have to take Tylenol for that, once a while, not every day.  We have to be careful. Have to listen to our body. Don't have to overdo. Have to be cautious. Try to keep track of your health and safety issues. We have to take it as our top priority, at any age.  We don't want to be a liability to our loved ones. To stay in bed for weeks or months, God forbid, is not good. Think before getting carried away to start any ambitious plan.  We have to plan our day anyway, to get busy, to change our scenery. It is not a problem, while even s...
