Tenants are back in Twin Towers
Beautiful morning. Weather is great. It is a nice day. I can't see any car on my driveway. My grandson, the middle one, Master Golden takes the Black Lexus, to his work. My son has taken the white SUV to his Jury Duty. It is 9.35, I am outside, on front of my house, walking around, waiting for my friend's Red car.
My front garden is looking great. Red wooden bench on the left, shining under the sun. Two baskets full of red and white flowers, hanging on tree, in the center, is giving color to my garden. These baskets are new additions, my son got last week, from the Costco Garden centre.
The "Twin Towers", I mean the two tall trees looking great, full of green, full of life, on the front yard of my next door neighbor. I can hear birds, having chit chat, calling each other from their apartments. I think, lots of tenants are back in Twin Towers.
I am working part time today, going to play Darts from 10 to 12, will be back around 12.20. My friend will be coming to pick me up, any time soon. I got small cookie box for my club. We use to pitch in for snacks. Bring things, whatever we can. Our club manages tea / coffee, milk sugar, cups and other such things. We take a break between games, to enjoy our tea time.
It is nice to enjoy, to have good time, to make our day. Our club now started all regular activities, which were on hold due to Covid. On Thursday, June 16th, we will be having our pot luck, contributing five dollars each, to order from outside, whatever our club decides.
It is 12.40, I am back, busy in my kitchen, making banana strawberry smoothie for myself. My son is not home, he will miss that. I am enjoying my drink at my Deck, sitting on one of the new Red garden chairs, the knitted ones, my son got four of these from Home Depot.
It is beautiful scenic view. Dark Red, Rose Pink and Purple Hydrangea, are smiling in my flower bed, on the back. Red and white, seasonal flowers, in the front row, looking beautiful, adding up the beauty, like cherry on top, to my garden. Grass is green. Couple of birds, I think saying Hi to me, from the tree top, in front. So nice of them. Beautiful moments, to cherish, to make my day. Amazing. Thank You God for making my days brighter. Love You.

ReplyDeleteWe appreciate your blog today. There was a lot of discussion about the reading of the blog but we asked the retired gardener to lead the reading. Reading of the blog is the highest honour for a retiree. As the reading takes place, it always draw a crowd and others in the cafe also listen to the reading.
After the reading we went through sub-committee business. The committee for Joint Family living are asking for your advice. The retirees are having problems with their kids. The kids dont take spend time with us but spend time with their kids and their spouses. Can you please help
The subcommittee for family with teenagers is also asking for advice. They have heard complaints from families that the teenagers are staying out late. They dont contribute to any household work. They dont help with groceries. They even have dinners in their rooms. Some are thinking of kicking them out.
The retired chef also provided the update. He said that your description of cooking has given a new dimension to this art. The retired chef has been sending copies of your blog to the 5 star properties because its a big morale booster to the chefs.
Your Indian compatriots gave a hard time to the temple people today. The temple people were celebrating the win of their country’s cricket team but the Indians said that the country is going bankrupt, worry about that first. They also pointed out that IPL is the biggest league in the world. The temple people tried to argue back but the retired priest said that they should not argue as you dont like arguments during the reading. Before leaving, they bought 4 coffees. As usual, each of them buy large coffee and ask for 2 extra cups. They then share this coffee between themselves. The cafe manager does not like that but he does not say anything because they are your guests.

ReplyDeleteThere was an incident during the blog reading today. Smile Army was upset at your son that he is not taking you to your regular activities and instead going to the Jury duty. Prof George and Dean tried to explain to them that Jury duty is mandatory and though your son is generally inconsiderate, in this case, there is not much he can do. Some of the students were impressed that he is selected for Jury duty, but the Dean of the faculty of Law said that the selection is purely random and even a fool can be selected, One of the senior Law professor joined the conversation and said that actually only fools and retired people serve on the jury, the smart people find a way to get out, as it is a boring process. Everyone laughed.
The students are continuing to have a very challenging time with our parents. In some cases, they tell us stories about how they lived their lives, in other cases, they give examples of others. We hate that. Do they want us to compare them to other people their age? Then they will know. They dont realize that they are making us hate our siblings because of these stupid comparisons. Can you tell them to stop doing that! It is very annoying.
