Gold and Copper at Our Door Steps

Beautiful Morning, hot and humid. It is fine with me. I know these are just couple of more hot weeks of summer. From mid September, it will dip, will be changed. We have to start, getting ready to welcome "Fall", to behold the beauty of Fall colors. Colors of Yellow, Orange and Red, will be scattered all around, in all shades. I wont complain for hot and plus 30 C temperatures.

This is beauty of Canada. We can have a feel of all four Seasons. Every season is intense. Winter comes with snow and sub zero temperatures. We, bundle up in sweaters, coats and gloves, go to lake. From mid March, things shift, to change. April is showers, May flowers. Summer is hot and humid. Fall is full of colors. Gardens and walkways loaded with Copper and Gold. Cones and Bronze leaves, scattered like pieces of Art and Crafts.

We already have learned our lessons. No problems. We enjoy all that. It is fine. We have to take whatever is available. Try to make use of the moments in hand, to enjoy your time. Every day is like a page, we are writing every day to compile the story book of our life. Try to enter nice things, good, happy events, in your book of life.

We have twenty four hours, every day. Why to waste and bin that precious gift from God. He wont be happy out of that. Value your moments, spread happiness and put smile on the faces around. No finger pointing. Not to interfere with the privacy and personal matters of others. So simple to get happiness.

  1. I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Since you made vaccine optional, there is complete chaos in the town. People are cancelling their vaccination appointments also as they know that you think that the authorities are exaggerating their response to Covid-19. The ex-Councillor is anti vaxer and he is aligning with the priest to let everyone know that covid is just like a flu and not a big deal. The councillor and mayor are trying to stop this messaging but it is too late. The committee to determine Essential Services status is meeting later this week and it is expected that Smile Corner’s status of Essential Service will be revoked since they have been saying vaccination is required and not optional. One of the committee member was here today and told me that they cant allow a vaccine optional place to remain open

  6. Dear Advisor,

The retirees were unable to go for our walk today. We were too exhausted from our long and arduous walk from earlier this week. We did however had our joint reading of your blog.

The retirees are surprised that not just your kids, but your grand kids also, are so close to you. For us, we have noticed that our grand kids try to avoid us. We dont see them except during Christmas time. And even during the Christmas times, we only meet our grand kids until they get to be 10, though one retired school teacher's grand daughter is close to her and they kept in touch until the little kids turned 12. Now the retired school teacher refers to her as the devil in disguise as she is now 15

The hijab lady and the temple people were not here today. The retired police detective mentioned that he has observed strange activities near the temple. These activities include a no. of people,, kids, funerals etc. We have asked him to investigate this further as the retire police detective noticed blood. The retired priest also suggested that we get the health authorities involved as this is a Covid super spreader event. Your Indian compatriots suggested that we ban all the temple people from coming to the restaurant because they may spread covid.

    thank you
    recent retiree

  8. Dear Author,

We read your blog at the Smile Garden today. Mrs. Lucy brought beef patty for everyone. As there were lot of people, we all took a small piece as a token of respect to you. The Smile Army is very happy that you made vaccination optional. They were very reluctant to get vaccine but Prof George and the Dean were encouraging them to do it. Now they have all cancelled their plans to get vaccinated.

The students are having a very difficult time with our parents. They compare us to our siblings which we hate. We know that the lucky guy, Master Golden and Slurpee Boy dont have this problem, but for us, its a big issue

    thank you

“We have twenty four hours, every day. Why to waste and bin that precious gift from God. He wont be happy out of that. Value your moments, spread happiness and put smile on the faces around. No finger pointing. Not to interfere with the privacy and personal matters of others. So simple to get happiness.”

  15. Is Smile an author or a painter? Artist ! You say? How can an author paint a picture in her blog? Well Smile does it with her words and folksy style. Dont take my word for it. Have a look at this:

“Every season is intense. Cones and Bronze leaves, scattered like pieces of Art and Crafts.”

    Brilliant!

  16. We wanted to felicitate you for resolving the communal fracas at the emeritus community. This was a corybantic situation which you extenuate with penned colloquy. We are somewhat concerned that during these tumultuous times, that we, your readers, would not be able to benefit from your guiding hand and your sagacious tutelage. We realize that we are being hoggish of your assiduous diligence but will appreciate if you can continue to author for us when you get a few minutes. We are making this self serving request and hope that you will not consider it a transgression on our part

thank you for making our days brighter
    Dave and Linda
