Road to Canterbury
It's the 20th of August 2025. I am now at one of my daughter’s
places in Rochester. I was in Camberley a day before to spend a couple
of days with my youngest daughter and her family.
Camberley is
about an hour and a half drive from Rochester. I will be going back to
Canada on Saturday the 23rd August. Time is running out. I am busy
gathering flowers of happiness from wherever I can to make my days.
Today
I enjoyed my time in Canterbury. It's a 40 minute drive from Rochester.
Canterbury is a beautiful place famous for one of the oldest Cathedral.
I liked the city's old style architecture of the houses, and cafes. I
am not so fond of high rise buildings in big cities.
It's 3.30 in
the afternoon. The weather is great, not too hot. I am enjoying my walk
in the High Street in Rochester. So many charity shops and cafes are
here. All colors of flowers by the church are making the atmosphere
scenic. The church is next to the historic castle, worth visiting.
My
trip to England is nearly done. Just a couple of more days to go. I
enjoyed my time with my daughters and their families. To be with your
loved ones is always good, but a bit challenging.
We have to be
careful not to hurt anyone's feelings. We sometimes get carried away and
might not be able to keep a balance. We have to keep in mind that while
appreciating one of the siblings in the family, we are not only hurting
others but damaging their relationships too.
Think twice before
giving any opinion on the matters related to the people in the family.
We are not there to disturb the peace and harmony of the household and
not to deteriorate our existing relationship.
The purpose of our
visit has to be to enjoy our time and to leave good memories behind. We
are here to maintain our bindings not to deteriorate our relationships.
Make sure not to leave any hot feelings behind.
