Autumn is second Spring

 

 October 15th 2024

It is mid October cold with single digit temperature. We are happy, still it is not below zero. Winter games have already started. Hockey season is on. 

Hockey is in our Canadian blood. We wait all year long for this. We know that we won't win the cup. Some American team will be the winner. Our beloved Toronto Maple Leaf will be done long before the finals, still we love to watch with full focus and enthusiasm.

It is 11.45, I am at Tim Hortons. Walks in winner time have it's own experience. We have to bundle up in layers. Keep our gloves ready. Coats, jackets and scarfs take time to choose to coordinate with the temperature. 

We check the weather before starting our journey. It's like a journey as we need lots of preparation before getting out.

Daylight starts getting shorter. On summer days, we were waiting for fireworks to start at 10 pm. Now I have to switch on the lights at 6 o'clock in the evening. Couple of weeks later, we will see our night time at 4pm.

Flowers are losing their smiles.Trees look a bit scared of  becoming like skeletons in the coming days. Leaves started losing colors. It's a totally different scenario.

Autumn looks like a second spring. Walkways and gardens are loaded with colors. Leaves scattered all around. Coffee color, red, orange, copper, bronze, all color of leaves are giving the atmosphere a beautiful scenic look.

I think change is the beauty of life. Every season is unique with its own beauty, so is every stage of the cycle of our life. 

From being kids to getting old, traveling through the entire path. Facing everything on the way. We enjoy getting a feel of the entire passage. We tasted sweet and sour everything on the way. We are good. No regrets.
