I Love my Computer

Great day. Beautiful weather. It is 18 C amazing. Sun is shining in full bloom. Just yesterday, I walked with my warm long coat, gloves and stole. Today, it is a total different scenario. I am with my light jacket, no zip up. No gloves, I think for couple of months. Nature is amazing, always giving us surprises to make our day. 

It is Tuesday, everyone left for work. My son is busy with his online work and meetings. My youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy is sleeping, enjoying his time. He has break from his Uni, will have exams next week. I am all set, ready for my walk.

Grass looking great, lush green, on my front garden. Magnolia tree, on the left, started budding. It is the first one to start celebrating Spring. Red wooden bench on the side, is shining under the sun. Basket ball net is standing by the corner of the side walk, waiting for kids. They will be around, in the afternoon to make their day.

Couple of birds are having chit chat, enjoying the weather. They are back from South of the Border. Things change so quick, same is with our life. Every stage of our cycle of life, enters into a new phase. Childhood to Youth to Adulthood to Mid life and finally, we become Seniors.

I take our old age as our Golden Era. No more burden of work and pressure of raising our kids. We are out of our responsibilities. All done. Now it is time for our own self. We can plan our own way. Time for our Dreams to come true, to make all that happen, now. So many options. So many opportunities are waiting for us. Get busy with anything. 

Gardening, get some pots to fill it up, to let them flourish. 

Start reading your favorite author's books. Browse magazines of your choice.

Go to lake / Beach, to have a seat to watch the scenic view. 

Go to gardens / parks, to enjoy the Green and to do bird watching. 

Find some Recipes to enjoy time in your kitchen.

We can pick and choose. No time pressure.

I enjoy my walks and my kitchen and of course, computer is my real friend. Always ready to take me to the places of my choice. Ready to connect me to my loved ones. It provides me time to engage with games and Shows of my choice. Scrabble and Card games to give me break. I enjoy all that. Life is good. 


Retirees Friends, I am worried about the Hijab Lady and his temple people friends. These are their mourning days. Please don't make it difficult for them. Don't spy on their privacy. We have to respect everyone's Thoughts, Religion and try not to hurt their sentiments. Thanks.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
