Rose Pink Flowers Making My Day

 It is Friday, 1st of July, Canada Day today. This is long weekend, everything closed. Eateries are open. We can go to eat out, to enjoy our day and go to watch fireworks at night. Yes we can, but things change with time. Now kids are no more kids anymore. They all are grown up. They have their own programs. We have to understand and respect that.

Years back, we used to go to enjoy all day events, games and so many stalls, to walk around in Kinsmen park. To take a break, we used to be back home, to go to watch the Fireworks at night time. We used to park our car, far away in the designated parking lot and from there, special shuttle buses were ready to take us to the location, to watch the magnificent fireworks. 

Kids used to look forward to enjoy all of the Canada Day events. It used to be very busy day, from morning to start and back at midnight, tired but happy. Not any more. Kids started their job. The only time they have, is weekend. They have to enjoy with friends and with whatever they want to. That makes sense.

Time flies, things change. Enjoy whatever time you can have with your kids. They will be busy with work and with family of their own, in years to come. Value the moments, you have with them.

At our age, we have our own time to enjoy. We are done with our work and also with our family obligations. It is our time to find our own things, to get busy and to enjoy our time. 

I started my day, enjoying morning cup of tea at my deck. Red and Rose pink flowers are smiling, on the back, in my garden, making my day. It is 10.30, I am in my room, busy with my computer, talking to my daughters, watching my favorite shows on You Tube. Playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. 

There is so much to do. Kitchen is my favorite place to enjoy my time. I made special dish to put on the dinner table for my family. It is always great to put smile on the faces of your loved ones. You get inner peace and happiness out of that. Just try.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
