Couple of Days to Ring into Summer

 It is end of March. Just two more days to enter into April. Weather is like a roller coaster. Very cold yesterday. Windy too. It was, feel like 21 C below zero with around 50 km gusts. Today is much better, still cold. Feel like 16 C below zero. Couple of more days to ring into summer. April shower. May flowers. I see couple of birds in my back garden, enjoying their walk and having chit chat. Sun is in full bloom. Smiling up and above, making our day.



I am off today. Tomorrow I have to go to my work, to play Darts. My youngest grandson, the Slurpee Boy has gone to school. My eldest one, the Lucky Guy left for his work. The middle one, Master Golden is in his room, sound asleep. It is already 11.45, I won't wake him up. Let him enjoy whatever he likes to do.

We don't have to bother our kids. Not nice to interfere. They know what they are doing. We have to keep ourselves away. Not have to interfere with their plans, to make them miserable. Let them lead their life, the way they want. Don't have to dictate, to what to do. 

We have to respect everyone's privacy. Not to cross our line. Have to focus on our own self, to live our life and let others do, whatever they like. I believe, this is the key, to prevail peace and harmony of the household, we live in. 

It is 12.15, my daughters from Grimsby and Reading just called me. They were back from work. It is already afternoon at their place. They are five hours ahead of my time in Toronto. It is nice to connect with your loved ones. We talked briefly. We parents have to realize that they are busy with work and with family of their own. Have to let them go to enjoy their life. 

It is 1.30, I am downstairs, in my kitchen, busy making beef Burgers for my son and for myself. He is busy with his computer, working online. It is nice to put smile on the faces around, specially doing things for your loved ones. Spreading happiness around, makes you happy too. What goes around, comes back. So simple to live happily.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
