My Christmas Lunch

It's Thursday December the 18th. Beautiful bright sunny morning. The weather is not bad. It is 2 C not below zero.
New Year is just around the corner. Not many, just a couple of days left. The Year 2025 will be a history.
People are excited to make big plans to welcome the new year. To celebrate in whatever way they can.
The end of the year comes with a bunch of holidays. Some stay to party at home. Some plan holiday trips.
Some are excited to manage their health. Make plans to visit gyms regularly. They chalk out their diets charts. To follow strictly. Most of the plans fizzle out after a couple of weeks.
By the month of February, things start getting cool off. Excitement and focus start losing its intensity. I think everyone gets carried away while making plans.
Plans have to be practical not to fill up the books. We have to take our stamina, our strength and our personality into account while making any commitments.
We don't have to overdo it. Not taking part in any marathon. Not have to prove ourselves to anyone else. We are doing it for our own sake. Take it as your own personal spread sheet.
Don't try to prove to anyone. Nobody cares. Why to put ourselves into misery. We feel down after not proving ourselves. Not making our commitments to work.
We start to have a feeling to avoid our own personality. We feel that we are losers. Not able to perform what we planned. Please give yourself a break. Don't make any judgment. Next time try to make realistic plans. Don't just have to get carried away.
It's 11.30, I am at Tim Hortons enjoying my coffee. My Christmas lunch from my senior club is at 1pm at Swiss Chalet. I will go from here after a while. It's just a 5 minute walk from here.
I don't care about lunch and dinner. At our age, I think we don't look forward to such things. I just try to get out. To avail opportunities to enjoy my time.
We have to try to make our day with whatever is available. Life will be good. Trust me.
