Sentiments matter not Pricey Gifts

I just woke up, today starting my day a bit late. We Humans are not robots. Our bodies take their own turn, do what they like. It is snowing right now. Weather looks like a roller coaster. It is Tuesday, I don't have to go to work. I usually go for my walks, when I am off from work. Let's see how weather goes. For now, going downstairs to kitchen, to make oatmeal porridge for my breakfast. 

It is 10.30, my daughters calling me from Kent, Grimsby and Reading. They call me during day time. They have one week school break. In England, they don't have two months long holidays, like here in Canada. They have short breaks after every six weeks. I think, that is a good idea. Students have time to refresh, must be feeling energetic to focus on studies. 

My daughter, the eldest one calls me at night. She is in Edmonton, two hours behind the time in Toronto. She is not in school, works online, has her own day routine. I am done with talking to my daughters. They have couple of days off, so many tasks are waiting to be done this week. Malls and Markets are open till 6 pm, over there. It is already afternoon for them. 

They were in hurry. One has to go for her glasses. The other, my youngest one, was going to get small gifts to surprise her kids. Her kids are working, one is married too. I think, there is no age limit and price for gifts. We only value sentiments. 

My daughter has done her teaching degree, got job for that recently. Her kids were very supportive throughout, the time of her studies. She wants to surprise them, sort of acknowledgement for their love and for being so considerate. I think, it is a good idea.

Acknowledgements are must, to propagate relationships. Don't have to get pricey things. Your gesture of love and to be thankful, matters only.  

It is 11.30, I am ready to go. Snow just stopped. Sun is shining up and above, to make our day brighter. Thank you my friend, to be there, not only for we humans, for all the Creatures big and small. Thank you.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer. Computer is sort of Blessing for me. I don't know how my Mom used to pass her time without phone and computer. How come she

  June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
