My Walks are on hold for now

It is nearly the end of January. We are getting lots of snow. Cold weather 18 C below zero, feels like 25 C below. It is so much snow all around. My walks are on hold for a while. We have to be cautious. Have to take health and safety as our priority. 

Glass top of my steel garden table, is loaded with a thick slab of ice. Red garden chair, my son got from Home Depot, couple of years ago, is half embedded into a big pile of snow. 

Deck is closed, will not be in use for couple of months. Mid March may be fine to get out, to look around our back garden. To check out, what is to be done in April and May, to get plants, to fill up flower bed. To give a new life to our garden.

We know that spring will be for a short time still, we Canadians never give up, going to Garden Centre, to pick pots, plants and flowers, to beautify our home gardens. 

Just try to enjoy whatever is there. Make use of, whatever is available. It will top up your positivity, will be enough to make your day. 

My walks are on hold still, I try to avail chances to sneak out of my house, to change my scenery. It is 11.30, my son is going to Gym, he will drop me at Tim Hortons, at my second home. 

I am getting ready to go, to enjoy my time, will write my Blog over there. Writing Blog for me, is like talking to my Readers Family. That will be more than enough to make my day.  

It is 12.15, I am at Coffee House, enjoying my tea with three creams one sugar. Strong tea is not my type. I take light one. I am getting donut too, to take home for my youngest grandson, my Slurpee Boy. He will be happy.  

Try to put smile on the faces around. You will get happiness in return. What goes around comes back. It is busy here. Drive through is also very busy. I am enjoying my tea and also the festive atmosphere. 

It is 1.30, my son messaged me. He is done at the Gym, coming back to pick me up. I have to pack up, to be ready to leave. Talk to you later, my friends. Time to go. have a Great day. Keep smiling.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
