Enjoying My Gift Certificate

It is 9.15, Beautiful, calm quiet morning to start with. We are gifted with another "Gift Certificate" of twenty four hours, to spend. We have to get ready to chalk out plans to make use of that, before it expires today.

Last night was rain. It is still cloudy with overcast skies, giving a different look of scenic atmosphere. Total change of scenery. I am outside, in my back garden, walking on my deck, to have a feel of the drizzle, just started. My breakfast can wait, I will have that after. These scenic views change quickly. We have to be there, on time, to feel the real flavor, to smell the fragrance, to have a feel of the on spot Beauty. 

Garden looking great with lush green grass. Trees around adding up the glamor. The newly planted Flower Bed is like cherry on top. Variety of flowers are looking great on the brick red color of Mulch, spread all around. What a scenic atmosphere to behold, to cherish, to make my day. Thank You God for everything. No complaints. I don't deserve all that. Not at all. You are really Great. So Generous.

 It is 10.15, I am in my room, to spend some time with my computer, to connect with my friends and family. We have to divide our day into slots, into compartments, to change our venue. It boosts our initiative to carry on our daily routines and also helps to handle our Mood swings.  

Through my window, I can connect to the world outside. It is Tuesday, garbage day in my neighborhood. The yellow, brown truck is here for pick up, to empty our Cans and Bins. I salute all the front line workers for their valuable service to community. They set an example for all of us, to follow their dedication, patience and hard work. They deserve all the tribute and appreciation. 

Today at 2 pm, is my appointment for second doze of vaccination. The place is just five minutes drive. We have to be there not before 10 minutes. They don't want the space to be over crowded. It takes usually one hour for the entire procedure. I mean the time we enter the premises and will be out of that, after vaccination.

It is important to take all the measures, we are advised to control the Covid situation. We have to follow the Directives. Have to use Masks whenever required. This is for everyone's safety and for our own self too. We will be out of this Covid situation soon. Things getting better. This too shall pass. Have to be patient and follow the rules. Things will be back to normal in days to come.

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons. I take it as my second home. I know that it is cold and windy. I am all set with gloves, stole and three layers underneath my winter coat. I will be fine. Whites Road and walkway is, all clear of snow. I see some white patches of snow, by the side of road, under trees and bushes. This is the beauty of Toronto, snow cleared right away. I have to put Reverse Gear

  July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
