Wintry days

It is 10 in the morning, 2C below zero. I am done with my breakfast.
Everyone in the household is sleeping. My son is away for a couple of days enjoying with his old Uni friends in Las Vegas.
I am sitting with my computer browsing Facebook messages. Checking the weather. It helps to decide what to wear to go for my walk.
We have to make sure not to put on too many layers, it will be a bit warmer afterwards, and won't be comfortable while coming back. We have to give time to select our dressing. It is the key to make our trip and also the events enjoyable.
My garden is not the same. The Maple tree now is not with many leaves. Lots of coffee, bronze and gold colored leaves are scattered in my garden.
The grass is still green. The flowers are taking an exit. Some of the rose pink, golden yellow, white and purple seasonal flowers are brave enough to face the frost of night time. Two of the Canadian roses are there too, not with the same broad smile as the days ago.
We are slowly entering into our Canadian winter days. Our light jackets are now at the back in the closet. It is time to bundle up with heavy winter coats.
Time flies, things change. Change is the beauty of life. We don't feel stagnant. We keep ourselves busy with making plans to cope with the days ahead. Change gives us power, helps to keep us moving on.
