Friday -- Beautiful sunny morning. Weather getting better every day. Not so cold. Just 6 C below zero. Couple of days back, it was 16 C below zero. What a change. Change is always great, changes the entire scenario. Snow is all around, will take time to melt down. 

It is 9.45, I am in my room, sitting with my computer also enjoying the scenic view through my window. Snow on my garden, sparkling under the sun like gold and silver. Such an amazing view to behold, to cherish. Trees standing quietly but look happy, enjoying the sunny morning.

Red wooden bench shining on the white of my garden. I can't see any car on driveways, in my neighborhood. All hiding in garage, waiting for orders to proceed. I can not hear much traffic on the nearby Whites Road too. It is Friday, may be People are in a holiday, weekend mood.

Nowadays I am working part time, as activities started in our Senior club. We have to wear Masks and follow social distancing. Ten people allowed to play Darts for only hour and half, twice a week. We have to avail any opportunity, available. Take it whatever is there. Due to Covid situation, we have to follow the Directives. This is a must for our own safety and for others too. 

My eldest grandson is here from London Ontario. He has couple of days off from his Uni. He will be leaving tomorrow. I am busy making milkshakes, scrambled egg and other things of his choice. It is good to put smile on the faces around, specially on the faces of your loved ones. You will get happiness in return. What goes around, comes back to you.

It is 4.30, my son is going to Home Depo, to get things to fix the kitchen basin. I am getting ready to go with him. I will walk outside to top up my steps, while he will be busy inside the store. We have to get out to change the scenery. We can go to garden, to balcony, whatever is available for us. We can move our chair to window, to enjoy the view outside. Take whatever is there, to enjoy your moment, to make your day.

    I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. Your celebration and parade was scheduled for today but I cancelled it as you ordered me to do. The problem I am having is that there are lots of out of town customers did not get the message. They came in just for that. The priest is trying to get more people in the sermon so he is telling some out of town people to stay overnight and he will have the celeration right after the Sunday mass. He is asking the local people to come also. I think he has turned into your big fan. He is asking me to come too but the Councillor is saying that I should not go as this may be his trick. I think it will be good for me to go as I can represent Smile Corner

    Dear Madam Smile, you so good. You write good to. Happy Worker come and say me did you remember it you turn to give grocery to sick job worker today? I say I will NOT give grocery. Happy Worker say remember we decide that we need take turn to give him grocery because he covid so he cant go outside. I say yes but my Madam tell me no do grocery so I am NOT giving him grocery. If sick job worker want get grocery then he do himself. Happy Worker say but Madam was talking about Wicked Worker.     Dear Advisor,

    The retirees read your blog with amazement as your are able to find positive in every situation. The retirees are having a challenging time. Those living with their kids find that they are not being given the respect that they deserve. Even their minor things, and sometimes non issues, are made into big issues. We are hoping that you can give some suggestions.

    The restaurant is facing a law suit from the dog owners. The retirees are trying to help the restaurant manager by asking some retired lawyers to file a counter lawsuit. We will appreciate if you can give some legal pointers and ideas so we can escalate the situation.

    Dear Author,

    We read your blog at the Smile Garden today. As usual the Dean stood up when he was listening to your blog. He and Prof George always listen to the blog standing up, even if they are sitting down before we start the reading, they stand up. After the blog, the Dean smiled and said that Smile always find positivity in any situation. The Smile Army heard the comment and started yelling slogans for you.

    The students are having a very challenging time with our parents. Some of the students are complaining that the parents give them long lectures about finding jobs. Some of the lectures are almost 2 mins and they are as frequent as a 2 min lecture in 3-4 weeks. Some other parents want to use us students to help them fix things at home. What is this child labour for free!?!!

Though many of your readers rightly classify that as philosophy, we dullards simply call it Smile-ology. Our rationale for this nomenclature is because it involves so much more than simple classical philosophy. We know you have professors in your readership who enjoy your blog as daily nourishment for their mind. and they will perhaps disagree with our characterization and term it as tinged by our biased towards yourself, however we submit to the learned scholars that you have the know-how of synthesizing complex philosophical and psychological thoughts and then transmitting it to your readers using your folksy tone. This is something unique and unparalleled

  January 12th 2024 It is around mid of January. Time for us to, start getting snow storms. This will be off an on, for the next couple of weeks. It is 10.15, mixed sunny cloudy morning, windy too. Gusts are 38 to 48 km.  Friday used to be my work day, not today. Kids day camp is going on in the library, at my work place. I am off for the whole week. I have to find my own things to do, to get busy. From Monday, things will be back on track. I will be having my regular work hours. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to walk to Tim Hortons.   July 7th 2023 It is hot sunny morning, 9.15 and already 24 C, feel like 26. I woke up early, done with my breakfast. Talked to one of my daughters, my middle one, called me from Grimsby.  She was going home, done with her work. It was a brief talk. She was busy, picking up her son, on the way from school. My other daughters are still at work. They will call me later on. We talk everyday, not much, just to connect.  I am busy with my computer. No message from my childhood friend. She never skips, must be busy. She was at her son's place in Sydney, was planning to go back to Perth, to be with her daughter. She must be stuck, other matters to be resolved. Anyway we have to find our own, "Things to do", to get busy, to make our day. Don't have to wait for people's calls and messages. I am busy playing Scrabble and Card games on my computer.   June 13th 2023 Beautiful morning. Great weather. It was raining all day, yesterday. Stopped at late night. I was working, Mondays are my work days. Have to go to play Darts. It starts at 9.30 in mornings. We were thirteen all together. Picked our numbers to make teams. Two boards with four teams. Three players in each. One team was odd, I mean with four. Anyway we enjoyed. Thirteen seniors on a rainy day, out to play, to enjoy time together. Amazing at that age. Gives inner peace. Boosts will power with affirmation that we still can do it. Rain or no rain, nothing can stop, to make our day. I think, will is everything behind your motto. When there is a will, there is always a way to go ahead, to move on, to do what you want. Today is Tuesday, weather is great 18 C, a bit on a cooler side. I am off, not working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Last week I booked my flight to England. My daughters were pushing me for that.
