Happy Easter to
All My Dear Readers

It is Tuesday bright beautiful sunny morning with 2 C feels like 3 C below zero. Rain is on the way, we know April shower May flowers. It goes like that, so no problem with that, except that our Basements, most likely get flooded. This is very common problem here, in Canada.

But nothing is total plus my Dear. If you enjoy rain, you have to pay the
price, it is OK. It is Tuesday, I am not working today. I don't work on
Tuesdays.

Today is my six monthly eye check up for Cataract. Doctor will decide about
my left eye. It is yet to be operated. My right one is done years back in 2012.
When doctor gives me a clean slate, I feel like, promoted to the next grade
with flying colors. Who wants surgery, I think no one, not me.

It is 11 am, I am at doctor's office, waiting for my turn, feels like sitting in
the examination hall. I hope, I will get through, will make it this time too.
We always have to hope for good. To be positive, changes the whole scenario.

Positive thinking imparts positive effects on our body. Mind is a power
house, it controls and directs our body to go in the positive direction.
You never go wrong by thinking positive. Trust me.

Time to go, it is my turn now, to get my Report Card. Hurrah, I passed the
test, promoted to the next grade. I told you, think positive and things will
be fine. So simple to lead a healthy and happy life.

Dear Retirees, I am sad with Priest. He has to stay away from interfering
with other people's personal matters. How they dress up, how they pray,
this is none of anyone's business.

I request him to respect everyone's emotions and not to bring up things
to hurt anyone's feelings. Thanks. I love all my Readers and belong to
everyone of them.

Dear Reader doing 2 Jobs, please stop criticizing others and don't read
and talk about my Blogs, during office timings. Thanks.

  1. I have posted the blog in Smile Corner. This being weekend, customers are staying longer. They usually read blog before going for the weekly shopping in the market. A no. of them are asking for copies of the recipe from past week. I already make lots of copies but I still end up short as some customers prefer to take the blog with them to their homes or workplace. Priest is also here and said to the customers that he will have a special prayer for you, and ask for Lord's blessings for the health of your eyes. All customers said that they will come. As the elections are coming closer, the councillor is here all the time. He and his people bring food from your recipes and give away for free. No one is buying my cookies. I have reduced the orders. If this continues, I will have to close Smile Corner as I dont have enough for next month's rent.

  6. Dear Advisor,

We appreciate your blog today. The retired ophthalmologist lead the reading of the blog. She said that usually ophthalmology visits are very boring and her ex-patients used to dread theme but the way you have described this, it makes it sound like an exciting event. The retired author who was asking to lead the reading of the blog said that this is why he wanted to read because, when you write, you chronicle events as an author. Reading of the blog is considered the highest honour for the retirees and there is always a debate about who should do that

The temple people raised slogans for you today. The cafe manager asked them to calm down as they were disturbing his clientele but they said that you have given them permissions. They also raised slogans in their language and said things like Ellie really loudly. They also said to the retired priest that you are not Christian because you wished Easter even though its not Easter yet. The retired priest didnt say anything but left after eating sweet potato dessert. The cafe manager was serving this dish today. He always serves the dish that you write the recipe for. The temple people ordered just one dish. They sheared that among themselves. They probably did that to save costs. One temple person even took it home in a paper dish. It looks very odd but we didnt say anything

    thank you
    recent retiree

  10. Dear Author,

We read your blog at the Smile Garden today. Everyone was very relieved and pleased that your eye exam went well. Prof George said to the Dean with a Smile that its good that you got promoted to the next grade. The Dean simply smiled and nodded his head in agreement. He is typically a man of few words. Mrs. Lucy also heard that comment and said that its too bad that you have to take buses after these appointments. The Smile Army heard that and they started yelling slogans against your son. One of the professor then said that lets play darts. Mrs. Lucy said that she will get bull today because she is so angry. We then started throwing darts at him

    thank you

  14. We were very relieved as we went through the reading of your online journal this morning. Ophthalmic challenges can be troubling and it is farsighted on your part that you are keeping an eye on the peeper organ (no pun intended) despite challenges with your scion.

It is a little stressful time for us, as we are preparing for the next arts exhibition. To de-stress, we have been reading your series of blogs from last year. It is acting as a tonic to sooth our over-excited nerves

PS: Thank you for the scrumptious recipes also. They are always served in our household and are thoroughly enjoyed by all and sundry for their piquant taste. Of course, we always serve them with a transcript of your blog

thank you for making our days brighter
    Dave and Linda
