Just a Drizzle

Snowing has stopped for a couple of days.Today it's raining just a drizzle. Not much. 

My walks are still on hold. The snow around started melting making conditions tricky to walk for me.

Too much water on walkways. Muddy too. Safety is a priority all the time. No compromises on health and safety. We don't have to be carried away. We have to be patient. Patience is a virtue.

Things are going to be better soon. Summer is just around the corner. The weather is getting better. The temperature now is no more below zero. We have to wait a bit.

Things will be going back on track. It is a matter of a couple of days. My back garden is still under a thick sheet of ice. Things are the same with my front yard.

The grass started showing up around the white sheet of ice. This is a great signal that our snowy days are about to be over soon.

We can't wait. Our so many days were in double digits below zero. My eldest daughter in Edmonton was with 40 C below zero on so many days. Enough is enough.

Every season comes with full intensity in Canada. We are lucky to have a feel of all the seasons. The summer used to come with 20 C in so many days. We will enjoy our time.

It is 11.30, I am at the lakeside after so many weeks. It is 12 C now. We still need our winter coat, not the heavy one. I am also having my red woolen stole and gloves just to be on the safe side not to ruin my stay at the lake.

It is a cloudy, hazy day. The sun is not in full bloom. The lake looks grayish. Not many people are here. Just a couple walking with their dogs. My son has gone for his long walk. I am walking by the lakeside. Life is good.

  It's a cold cloudy morning. The sun is not awake yet. Drowsing under his grey blanket. He must be awake till late at night.  It was raining all night. It just stopped and will start again after a couple of hours at 10. That the weather channel is predicting. It is 7.30, I got up early today. The first thing I do is to check the weather of the day. Time is running out. I have to get ready for my walk. I will miss that otherwise. It will start at 10 and will be raining all day. I have to dress up in layers. It is 8 C. I have to pick my maroon umbrella just in case. That umbrella I got years ago from Dollarama store for three dollars. We have to be prepared while getting out of the house. Not good to get stuck on the way to spoil the trip. I have gloves, my woolen cap and my red woolen stole. This red stole one of my senior club friends gifted to me. Gifts are like souvenirs. Birds to the South

  It's a windy cold day with 19 C below zero feels 25 C below. Not usual for Toronto.  Gusts are around 60 km. It is not good to go for a walk. The snow is still around. The walkways are usually cleared off. I think there will still be some icy patches on the way because of the weather condition. I will skip my walk today. Whatever is there is there. Have to accept We always have our plan “ B” ready to switch. I just checked my table calendar. I have to do my hair wash. I also have to wash my clothes. Just a small load of laundry. I have to make some calls too. I think I have enough to get busy indoors. I will spend some time in my kitchen making something for my family to put at the dinner time. I am happy. Nothing to worry about. I have enough to make my day. My grandson, the youngest one, just came to my room to let me know that he will go to gym in about half an hour. I am at Town Centre

  The snow storm is done for a while. Things are back to normal. Roads are busy.  Traffic is as usual that I can see from my window. Yesterday things were really bad. I went to attend the funeral of someone's father in the community. The front right side of our car was stuck in a ditch. I was sitting in front on that side. I had to get out from the driver's side of the door. I made it. By the Grace of God. Someone from the community dropped us home. We had to call Canadian Tire for tow truck service. It was too busy due to the weather so many calls to attend for them. It took all day to get the car back on our driveway. Thank God no damage was done. We were in one piece and so was our car. Done is done anyway. It is 10.30 in the morning. Everyone left for work. I am sitting on an empty nest. Just my eldest grandson is working from home. He is busy with his meetings and computer.
