Open letter to my Friends

It's already mid of March and we still have to wear coats. It is Monday morning with 4C below zero feels like 11C below zero. We had lots of snow this year, especially in the month of February. We had two back to back big storms dumping more than seventy eight centimeters of snow.

We were stuck for about a day otherwise life was going on. Roads were all cleared and traffic was normal. Walkways and side roads took some time to be back on track. Thanks to the city workers.

Toronto was not the same. It was a different scenario with heaps of snow by road sides. To open car doors was not easy on a double driveway due to the big snow dump at the side.

Our city looked like Ottawa. It reminded me of the time thirty years ago. The time when I used to live in Ottawa. Things in Toronto looked the same in February. Snow all around.

Anyway, the snow is gone. Not here anymore. Thanks to the sun shining in full bloom. Summer is getting closer day by day. Birds are back from the South of the Border. Skeleton trees are getting back to life.

The Magnolia tree in my front garden started budding. This tree is the first one to announce that Spring is around the corner. Get ready to celebrate. My friend the Black Squirrel is back with his exercises on the wooden fence of my back garden.

I am thinking about you my friends. Haven't got any comments from you people for more than months. After Covid things are not the same. So much has changed. How are things at your end my friends.

Dear Friends in Ireland, hope things must be good at your place. People must be enjoying reading my Blogs at Smile Cafe. Please keep following the city directives. My friend, Cafe Manager, I hope your business is going well. Priest must be getting along with everyone over there. Please keep the atmosphere enjoyable for all my Dear Readers. Thanks.

Dear Retirees, please respect everyone's emotions. Keep my Blogs out of any religious and political discussions. Nowadays it's like Easter for the temple people. Please don't intrude into their privacy. Religion is everyone's personal matter.

Dear office friends, I hope you people are still posting my Blogs on notice boards and enjoying your SWN and SWW walks. Jasmeet, Brenda, Jimmy, Tiara, Cleo, I love you all my friends. Please say Hi to my friend the Smile Addict. Jimmy you must be taking care of “A, B,And D” notice boards. Brenda was also racing to do that. Love you.

    Beautiful morning sunny and bright. No more rain. We had already more than enough of it. Grass and flowers, don't need any watering. It is 26 C, hot day.   This is weekend, I have to do my hair color. My friend invited me for afternoon tea. I will go there. It is always good to be with friends and family. Nature is great

     October 29th 2024 It's a different scenario today. Cloudy morning hazy sky. Sun is hiding under his gray blanket. It is Tuesday so I don't have to go to work. No Darts today at the library. It is a day off for me. I have to make other plans to make my day. Day offs are like clean slates. We have to write our schedule to fill out the columns of the day. When we have to go to work or school, our timings are all set.  We don't have to worry about how to pass our time. We have just a couple of hours left to sort out after coming back from our workplace or school. Weekends and day offs are tricky. We need some homework to fill out our day slots. Try to make it like a combo, a mixed plate to have a taste of everything. Day offs are like blank sheets. We can write, paint, whatever we want to do, to fill out.       October 22nd 2024 Great morning 18C. It is like summer for Canadians. Couple of more days to enjoy the outdoors.  Beautiful leaves of all colors are everywhere giving a scenic look to the atmosphere to behold and to cherish these moments. Nature is amazing. There is always something for we Humans to make our day. Take some time off from your day today to look around. You will find beauty everywhere. It doesn't matter in which part of the world you live. Don't have to plan for long trips. It is all at your doorsteps. Keep your eyes open and take a break to smell the nature around. You will get the flavor and also inner peace deep down. It will be a rare happiness all on its own. You don't have to make any payments, any investments for that. Just a time alone slot and all the transactions will be done. It works like meditation.
