Thought Of The Day

  It's a cold cloudy morning. The sun is not awake yet. Drowsing under his grey blanket. He must be awake till late at night.  It was raining all night. It just stopped and will start again after a couple of hours at 10. That the weather channel is predicting. It is 7.30, I got up early today. The first thing I do is to check the weather of the day. Time is running out. I have to get ready for my walk. I will miss that otherwise. It will start at 10 and will be raining all day. I have to dress up in layers. It is 8 C. I have to pick my maroon umbrella just in case. That umbrella I got years ago from Dollarama store for three dollars. We have to be prepared while getting out of the house. Not good to get stuck on the way to spoil the trip. I have gloves, my woolen cap and my red woolen stole. This red stole one of my senior club friends gifted to me. Gifts are like souvenirs. Doesn't matter how much it costs. Price doesn't matter. I am all set ready to leave. M...

      So much has changed in just a couple of hours. The temperature dropped to single digits. It is 6 C at 10 in the morning. The day before it was 24 C. I had to figure out what to wear to go for my walk. Today we have to follow a different dress code. Long winter coat not the heavy one with sweater underneath. I have to take gloves and my woolen stole too.  We have a variety of jackets and coats in our coat closet. We pick and choose according to the weather advisory. We learned to cope with 40 C plus and also with 35 C below zero. We can handle all that. Just bring it on. Our summer days are done for now. We enjoyed it enough. No complaints. We have to accept and manage with whatever is available. Time flies. Nothing stays forever. Winter has its own beauty. It's time to slow down. To take breaks. Today it is 6 C. Not too bad.    The weather is great. It's a beautiful morning at 19 C. It is already October 7th and we Canadians are still enjoying our summer days.  No jackets, amazing. I started my day a bit late today. My sleep was not good. Things start happening at our age.   Mornings are also a bit tricky sometimes. We don't know which part of our body is not in good shape. Start giving us a hard time.  We have to manage with how things are. Every stage of life is different. Not the same. We are not robots.There are so many factors that come across to affect our peace of mind, our harmony. The people around at work, school and household. Everything matters to make our days. It might also ruin our day. We have emotions. Emotions are key in managing our mood swings.Things which bother us are sometimes enough to make a dent.   The weather is great. It's still summer. We are enjoying the outdoors, not  wearing our jackets.  Flowers are smiling in pots and planters.The Flower bed at the back of my garden is looking beautiful with pink Canadian roses. Other seasonal flowers golden yellow, violet and brick red are also in full bloom. Making the atmosphere colorful.  The Black Squirrel is busy with his work outs on the wooden fence of my back garden. I can hear a couple of birds are busy chit chatting on the top of the Maple tree at the right side of my garden. The air is loaded with fragrance. Full of aroma from the flowers and greens around. I am sitting on one of the red knitted steel garden chairs. Trying to have a feel of all that. My son got four of these chairs years ago from Home Depot. Time is running out. It is already 10.15, I have to get ready for my walk and also to get my morning tea / coffee from Tim Hortons. To be outdoors imparts something unique to brighten up ...

  Time flies so quickly. The New Year 2025 is no more New. It's nearly done.  Just a couple of months to go to make it history. We never give a thought that the time we have is not for ever. Moments keep on slipping from our hands for never to come back. Try to make use of your time in hand.  Present is everything. Don't have to waste that moment thinking about the days already done. Life is like a combo. Mixed with sweet and bitter moments. It is not a bed of roses. We have flowers of happiness with thorns all around. Thorns are the difficult moments we have to face in life. That is so normal, Life is like a mixed plate. We have to pick flowers of happiness from wherever we can. To give color to our moments in hand. Try to distract yourselves. Do not spoil the moments to come. We are here for a given time. Everyone is in a state of wait and see. No one knows about his time to leave. We all are waiting for the call from Almighty.
