Thought Of The Day

    I am out of Kent, in Grimsby now at my other daughter’s place. Grimsby is a tourist town two hours driving distance from Manchester.  She lives twenty minutes from the beach. The weather is great, slightly cooler. It's 8.45 in the morning. I am sitting in the garden wearing my navy blue light jacket with a sky blue pattern. This is my favorite one. I bought it years ago from Oxfam for five pounds. Sometimes items click to your taste. Doesn't matter whether it's from a high class store or not. You go for that. Canada has more land and not much population. England on the other hand has more population and not much land. Houses here are not so spacious as compared to Canada. Same with gardens. The front and back gardens are not big, but look very beautiful. I am in the back garden of my daughter’s house. Pots are lined up with a variety of flowers. I see yellow roses with an orange tinge.     Beautiful sunny morning. Rain has taken a day off. My days in Kent are about to be over.  My other daughter, the middle one, is coming tonight from Grimsby to pick me up.  Lucky me kids are not sick of their old mom yet. I have to appreciate their kindness and salute to their patience. At the later stages of our life, it's not easy for kids to track their parents. They are in a different time zone.  It's great of them to take some time off to be with us to give us company.  It's 8.15 in the morning. I am in the garden. My daughter is  in the kitchen making veggie omelets for breakfast. I am having my honey drink to start my morning.  One teaspoon of honey in warm water. I start my day with that. We can start what we like to brighten our day. Pink roses are looking great in the earthen pot by my left side. Scarlet red flowers smiling in the pot in front. One pigeon is wandering in the garden.     It's a beautiful cloudy morning light drizzle just started. It's not dark and gloomy. I am walking in the garden. Pink flowers look happy, giving me a smile.  White cat with two pitch black spots on her body is sitting on the garden wall. I think she is also enjoying the beautiful view like me. We have to start our day with something positive. I take mornings as the face of our day. Try to usually start my Blogs with the word, “ Beautiful “. Our mind is like a power house. It controls our thoughts and directs our body to act accordingly. We have to think twice before we speak. Specifically, while writing on paper and punching on computers we have to choose positive words. Our words have power, affect and determine how our mind reacts. Our words are the reflections of our thoughts. Our thoughts are like messages delivered to our mind to go in that direction. The mind and body are like two in one, working very closely.               It’s a hot and breezy day sort of mix and match. It reminds me of the beautiful piece of writing from Charles Dickens, “ It's one of those days when winter is in the shade and summer under sun “ .  I don't remember how many times I repeated it in my Blogs. Some writings are forever. Stay fresh to touch your heart. Simple, you can relate to it all the time. Never stale, never look outdated. I am not a person of the past. Don’t like to look back to turn the pages. I believe to be in the moments in hand. Looking back you feel frozen, can't go ahead to move on. The past is like a magnet, you can't get out of it. You have to stay there to wander around. Sometimes you get caught. Same happened with me. I caught up. The day before I switched on my computer to open up my Facebook messages.  I was feeling like I was frozen. My mind was blank. My eyes were caught up with the message.     July 15th 2025 I came to Kent at my daughter's place from Camberley just about a week ago. I am all set, feel like I live here. We humans are amazing. Have a quality to adjust with all the circumstances. My daughter leaves at 7.30 early in the morning for her school. I found a library nearby to pass my time. It is not within a walking distance. My son in law drives me there at 12 Noon. So nice of him. He goes to work in the afternoons. My daughter picks me up on the way back from work at 4 pm.   I divide my four hours walking around the High Street. Sitting in the library browsing magazines and some of my time sitting in the garden. Today it is too windy and I forgot to bring my jacket. I am not enjoying my walk and my time in the garden.     Beautiful morning, hot humid day. The sun is shining in full bloom. Weather in England is unpredictable just like its traffic.  Two days ago I was wearing a light jacket while I was walking around the High Street. Today is a totally different scenario. It's 9.15, I am done with my breakfast now sitting in the garden. Flower pots are lined up in front with beautiful roses.  I see a variety of shades and colors of roses pink, red and yellow. Tall trees are making the atmosphere very cozy. Two pigeons are walking by the pink roses flower pot. White cat with pitch black spots on her body is sitting on the fence.  I think she is done with her breakfast and came to give me company. So nice of her. Looks so calm and composed. I think she is enjoying her time. The air is loaded with fragrances from around. I hear a couple of birds having chit chat, sitting somewhere inside the tall tree.           Now I am on a road trip for a while, I  was at my youngest daughter's place in Camberley.  Last night I came to Kent at my other daughter's house. Her son picked me up. He came with his younger brother. Insisted me to have the front seat. Lucky me. Kent is a small historical town. I like its High Street. At one end of the street are the old castle and Church. This Church is the second oldest after Canterbury Church. I like to walk around. The castle is sort of challenging for me to walk uphill. I like the beautiful interior architecture of the Church. Such a peaceful atmosphere to sit for a while. On the High Street there is Morley bakery and Coffee House. It was established in 1985. I like to sit there to enjoy tea over there. I like historical places.  So many Charity shops are all lined up on the High Street, I like Charity shops. So many antiques to look around. I feel that time stopped, taking me back to have a feel of...

    Day is bright and beautiful. Breezy morning. Sun is shining in full bloom. Weather is great, perfect and not too hot. My sleep was good too. I am done with my breakfast. I changed my menu here in England. Oatmeal is at a break. Switched to raisin bread and stir fried egg with half a cup of milk. I take Coco pop cereal like snacks with no milk. I know I am having too much. It's like a big breakfast for me. Doesn't matter. We can enjoy whatever we like to have while we are having vacations. Just changed my menu to have a feel. It's 10.30, my daughter is at work. I am sitting in the garden. No red lilies for now. Its flowering season is done. Rose pink and white flowers look great in big pots. There is so much green all around. Big yellow flowers of I think Zucchini are smiling in the left corner of the garden. My granddaughter is working from home. I don't have to bother her. I am sitting in the corner under the shade of tall trees at my favorite spot. W...

  I used to write my Blogs at Tim Hortons when I was in Pickering, Canada.  Here in England, I sit beside flowers. Beside the red lilies and white roses in the back garden of my daughter to write my Blogs. It's a perfect spot. I pick my tablet and enjoy over there. England is under a spell of heat wave so for now to go for a walk is not a good idea. There is no coffee house or Plaza nearby. I take my chances to get out to change my scenery whenever I can. Yesterday my grandson was going to Gym. He dropped me at Costa. So nice of him. I was there at Costa at 1.30. My daughter picked me up around 5 pm on the way back from her work. I got my Sudoku and word search books. I also got my notebook to jot down these beautiful moments. Spent here with my daughters in England. To lock up in my memory box to enjoy later.
