Life is all good

January 25th 2025
It is Saturday 10.30 in the morning on a
cold day snow all around with 15 C below zero. I have to go to my
friend's place to get together in the evening. It's about an hour away.
Nothing else for the day. Just make a couple of calls to my daughters. I
have to make some other calls too. I will not do that today.
Keep
in mind that on weekends people have their own plans. They are busy with
their own family things. It is not good to bother them. They won't
appreciate our calls. Leave them alone to enjoy their time. We can call
them some other time, some other day.
I believe calls are an
important matter and timing of calls is critical. We can make or break
our relationships, depending on the timings. First of all we have to
check the day and time.
On working days no one will like calls
until late evenings. Keep in mind that we are not going to disturb them
at their dinner time. People are with family, and won't appreciate calls
 at that time.
People of our age. I mean the people enjoying
their retired period of life. They usually start their day a bit late.
Some might not be able to have a good night's sleep. Some might be going
through with some other issues. You never know.
Things
start coming up at the later stages of life and we can not fight back
as in our earlier days. Bodies are not strong. With an old machinery
what you expect. Accept whatever is there with grace, dignity and
patience.
Anyway, we don't have to call them early in the morning
and also not too late in the evenings. Day time will suit them. They
have enough time on their hands, and love to talk for longer periods.
I,
while making calls, take the tone of the person at the other end as an
integral factor to continue my call. Their tone determines how long they
have time and are able to be with our call. Sometimes they have to
leave. Sometimes people are not in a mood.
We humans are full of
emotions, full of sentiments. We are not robots. Check the tone and try
to read between the lines to figure out when to cut off your call.
Don't have to leave abruptly. Ending and start, are the key for
everything.
It is important while punching your words on paper
and computer. It is critical with the words coming out from your mouth.
You can not delete anything after.
