I miss Beautiful Roses

 May be art

It is a bright sunny cold morning. I am having breakfast and enjoying the view of my back garden. It's not looking like a garden anymore. My deck is covered with white sheet of snow. Grass is also under the white blanket.

Flower bed with no flowers, just with a couple of shrubs. The Canadian rose plant has no leaves. Beautiful pink roses are a matter of history. They were gone weeks ago.

The glass top of my steel garden table is loaded with a thick slab of ice. The red garden chair, my son got from the Canadian Tire store, is nearly half under the heap of snow. So much has changed in just a couple of weeks.

Weather was very cold and windy for a couple of days, 22C below zero, gusts around 50 km. Today is much better, still cold and slushy. Slushy is dangerous to walk, especially at our age. I won't take any chances to slip.

My eldest grandson is going for his coffee. I talked to him to drop me at Tim Hortons. It's like a second home for me. The days when I am not going to work to play Darts, I enjoy my time here.

We have to keep our plans ready to switch when needed. Keep ourselves ready to coordinate according to the circumstances. We have to be flexible in life. Nothing is the end of the world. “ Life is science. To deal with life is an art “. I read somewhere, years ago. I believe that.

It's a beautiful scenic view. Snow is glistening under the sun. Sun is smiling from up and above in full bloom. Most of the trees are transformed into skeletons. It's not windy today so they are looking a bit relaxed. I think they don't like too much wind, they start feeling scared. It's a matter of a couple of weeks. Things will be fine. They all will be back to enjoy their life.

Time flies. Things change. Nothing is to stay forever. Same is our health, our age, the things and people around. We have to value each and everything we have. Don't have to take it for granted.

Time will change, we start getting new things, new opportunities, new friends, new relationships. We will go on losing things we have. No use to regret later, like crying over the spilled milk.

Enjoy whatever you have for now. Future is unknown. Don't wait for that. Present is everything. Enjoy and value your moments with whatever you have. Life will be all good. Trust me.
