David Austin taking days off

Image
Days are passing. November is about to be done. Just a couple of more days to go. Another brand New Year is getting closer day by day. People will be ready to celebrate with the same zeal and fervor. The same enthusiasm they show to welcome every new year. Most of them will be busy chalking out big plans to celebrate. Plans to trim their bodies. Plans regarding their health.  Health and fitness becomes their top priority in the earlier months of every new year. Everyone becomes so ambitious and carried away that they are not physically able to fulfill all that. Just after a couple of weeks most of them start thinking about giving up. Not manageable. They ultimately lose interest and all plans are shelved. Wrapped, intact in their diary. They move on forgetting everything about. Making plans for anything anytime, we have to be realistic. Not have to be carried away. Not have to go with the flow. Take your own capabilities and time factor into consideration. Plans made ...

Enjoying the Morning

Image
It's always a different scenario every day every morning. Not the same. Things go on changing with time. The view, the scenery and so is our life. We keep on experiencing different matters to deal with. Every moment we get a variety of tastes in life. What a beauty, amazing. Life is not stagnant. It is full of change. Full of thrill and excitement. It goes on with all sorts of ups and downs. We have to manage with patience to accept everything on the road. To get a feel of moments to make our days. Life is science. To deal with life is an art. Life is the same for everyone. Filled with some memorable moments and also the moments hard to go through. Some can't take it. They let the difficult moments dominate. Let the hard moments overshadow the beauty of the moments to enjoy. I believe that attitude is key to how we handle life. A positive attitude changes the entire scenario of life. We start looking at things with a positive perspective. A positive attitude keeps our patienc...

It is a mixed plate

Image
November comes like a mixed plate. Days are cloudy, bright, sunny, with snow, rain .  You never know what you are getting. Mornings surprise you most of the time. You can not predict beforehand. We have to open our weather channel to chalk out our programs. Programs are not tailor made at our age.  We have liberty to switch our plans. No pressure to go ahead with the plans already made. We can switch to coordinate with the circumstances. We are lucky to go with the flow at the later stages of our life. We have liberty to do what we can handle. It's mid-November. We already enjoyed our first snowfall a couple of days ago. Snow brings its own beauty. Serene atmosphere with calm and peace all around. You have time to listen to yourself. To talk to yourself. We never get a chance. Never had time, never thought about that. To be alone to spend time is unique. It is special, gives you inner peace. Sitting alone is totally different from being lonely. Sitt...

No rain no snow amazing

Image
Nature is amazing. Two days ago there was snow all around. Today I can't see any. Thanks to the rain yesterday. Today it is a bright beautiful morning. No rain, no snow. The sun is shining in full bloom. Yesterday was gloomy, cloudy all day. Things change on their own due course.  We have to be patient to wait and see what comes next. Keep in mind,” This too shall pass”. There are always mornings after nights. Change is the beauty of life. I believe. It's a  bit windy at 48 km. It's the gusts I am scared of. Fall is dangerous for everyone at any stage of life. It is disastrous at our later stages. Healing is not easy. Not easy to be back on track. It doesn't mean that we have to be house bound for the rest of our life. Try to be extra careful while getting out. Take breaks while doing things in your routine life. Watch your steps. We have lots of time in our hands. Do things with tracking your safety. Health and safety is a priority all the ti...

Loaded with Cottony flowers

Image
It's a cold snowy day. It started a day before, not heavy snow, just flurries still for continuous two days.  I can see a thick sheet of ice on the glass top of my garden steel table. It must be around six cm what it looks like. Trees around are dusted with white powder. Loaded with white Cottony flowers. Such a beautiful scenic atmosphere to behold. Cars on my driveway are covered under a sheet of ice.  My son is working from home. His kids have to go to work in person. A lot of work for them to dig out their cars out of this mess. For myself too it will be a bit scary to walk through the icy walkway. I take one day at a time somehow to manage my trip to my coffee house. Health and safety is a top priority at every stage of life. We have to be a bit extra careful at the later stages of life. Our body is old enough to handle any damage to our existing structure. Our nerves are also not in good shape to take any extra pressure. We are managing oursel...

Enjoying the colors

October is the month when the fall season comes in full bloom. November has started and we are still enjoying the beauty of the fall season. It is not done yet.  Winter is also trying to make its entry. It looks like a mixed plate. We are having a taste of both fall and a bit of winter too. Lucky to be here in Canada we have a chance to taste all four seasons. Every season with full intensity, full glamor.  It is 10.30, I will switch on my computer to go through some of the messages on my Facebook. It looks good to connect with the people of your choice. To connect with the people of a variety of cross sections. Some are not on the same wave length. Having a different point of view. It doesn't matter. To be around people gives you mental peace. I believe that. I agree that sometimes they take your mental peace away. Ruin your moments. I think that we have to get a chance to deal with all sorts of opinions. To come across a variety of ideas opens up o...

Not retired still in the Rink

Image
It's 8.45, I am busy in kitchen making my breakfast.  Just oatmeal porridge, will have it with milk. I don't eat eggs in the mornings. I eat one boiled egg later on. We have to regulate our diet. Specifically at the later stages of life. I don't drink tea or coffee with my breakfast. I will walk to Tim Hortons after, to enjoy my tea / coffee over there. At the earlier stages of life. Our day program is already chalked out. We don't have to worry about that. No pressure making plans to fill up our day calendar. We are busy at school. After that period of life. We are busy with work. No worries to chalk out our day plans. At the later stages, we have to deal with a different scenario. We are done with work and our family obligations. Lots of time in our hands. No school, no work to get busy with. We have full days to spend. Just waiting for our call to leave doesn't make any sense. We are the masters to lead our life. No interference to disrupt our p...

Enjoying my evening tea

November has already started. The year 2025 is about to end.  Just a couple of more months to go. It will also be a part of history after that like so many others. Time keeps on flying. Moments keep on slipping from our hands. We rarely keep track of the moments in hand. Rarely give a thought that we will be losing them soon. Try  to make it useful to make your day. To smile and to make others smile too. It is a beautiful bright cold morning. The sun is shining in full bloom to make our day brighter. So nice of him. We have to start our day with a positive attitude. Things happen. Try to forget and focus on the moments ahead. We have a bunch of twenty four hours every morning. Try to be amazed. Be thankful to God Almighty for the things we have. Don't have to grieve for what is lost. Count and focus on the blessings we have. Life is not a bed of roses nor the bed of thorns. We all have to pass through some bumpy roads. Some turbulence on the way. Life is l...

I miss David Austin

Image
It's a beautiful bright cold morning with 4 C at 10.15. My back garden is loaded with scattered yellow Maple leaves.  Thanks to the tall Maple leaf tree standing gracefully in the back of my garden. Not much activity in my garden. It looks a bit quiet. Just a couple of red, purple and white seasonal flowers are pushing themselves to give color to my garden.  No pink Canadian roses and not any blood red David Austin roses. One black Squirrel wandering on the lush green grass to find his breakfast or maybe looking for his brunch. I can't see any birds in my garden or up in the sky. I think they already left for South of the Border. The red wooden bench in my front garden is looking great. Washed clean and shining under the sun. Thanks to the rain for a couple of days. Grass is also green.  The trees around are still full of life. No skeleton trees for now. I can see lots of sparkling red colored leaves in between the greens. It's 11.30, I am all set to ...
