Think before taking breaks
Beautiful morning, all snow gone. Thanks to the rain last night. My
deck is all clean and washed. Gold leaves are no more there. It looks a
bit quiet. I can't see my friend the Black Squirrel. Birds are still not
back from South of the Border.
Canadian Beautiful pink roses
and the blood red David Austin roses are taking a break. Seasonal
violet, red and yellow flowers are also not here. They must be tired and
need a break too. Grass is still green. So many trees are transformed
into skeletons. Need moral support from their green colleagues around.
The
Magnolia tree in my front garden is done for the season. He is always
the first one to make an announcement that spring is just around the
corner. Get ready to celebrate.
Red wooden bench at the left
side of my garden is looking beautiful, washed and clean due to last
night's rain. My driveway is also washed and clean, very quiet. No cars
will be there by late evening. My daughter in law is working in person.
Same with my eldest grandson.
My house is a bit quiet too. My son
is with his meetings. He is working from home. My youngest grandson is
sleeping, enjoying his holidays. He is done with his exams for 3rd year
Uni. My middle one is done with his degree, taking a break to start his
working life.
Breaks are good for a change, to relax for a while.
Keep in mind that it has to be short ones. Long breaks will make you
lethargic. You will become rusted, shaky to start things. Your
motivation will go down. Your knowledge and skills will become outdated.
Think twice before taking breaks.
I am going for my walk.
Weather is a bit chilly. It is 3 C below zero. I know that I have to
bundle up in layers and have to take other things as usual. Long warm
thick coat, cap and woolen stole.
