    December 31st, 2024 Today is the last night of the year 2024. So much has changed for us. There must be a bundle of things, all mixed up. We have to come across so many ups and downs in our day to day matters. This is the beauty of life. Life is not stagnant. It is like a river moves on, no matter what.  We have to bid farewell to the year 2024 with good hearts. We must have some difficult moments during that time. We must have come across many wonderful moments during those days. We usually remember whatever we lose. Rarely give a thought about what we have. What we go on getting, we take it like we deserve all that. Never take it as a big deal.  The happy moments, our being in good health. The people around to talk. Nature to enjoy moments to make our days. The bundle of twenty four hours, we get every morning throughout our life. We can spend it wherever we want.      December 28th 2024 Couple of more days to leave this year behind and to enter a brand new year of 2025. I am sitting in a Coffee house. It's a festive atmosphere. Not many young people are here.  Most of the people are around my age, enjoying the company of their choice. Youngsters are busy with their take out orders. Drive through is very busy. It's 11.30, I am enjoying my small tea and the atmosphere around. Weather is good 2C, it is like summer for us in Canada. It's drizzling. I am going to Tim Hortons to enjoy my walk and my morning tea. I will put my cap on and will dress up properly. No worries. We have to manage circumstances to make our day. Sometimes we have to open up our memory box to dig out our golden moments, we spent, enjoyed and saved, to lock up in our memory box. Same is drizzling for me.  It reminds me of my childhood period.   December 24th 2024 It was sort of a snow storm last night, 10 to 15 cm of snow showered from above. Snow is now all around. Walkways are cleared of snow. Thanks to the city, still it's slushy. Snow from the side is melting down as temperature is mild, making the path slushy. It's not easy to walk, especially for us, seniors. It's a beautiful atmosphere. Skeleton trees look decorated. Sprinkled with white powdery flakes. Other trees, the green ones, are loaded with cottony flowers. Every season brings its own beauty. Same is with winter. Snow is beautifying things, making scenic all around. It is 11.45, I am getting ready to get out. Change of spot is always good. It helps to take you to the right track, away from negativity. We don't feel stuck, stagnant, which always channelizes negative thoughts. I have to be careful when walking. These days are a bit tricky to go out. I believe that we are masters of our own lives.    To all my  Dear Readers Merry Christmas         and Happy Holidays   It's nearly end of December. Cold days long nights. I am at the lakeside. Water is glistening under sunshine. It is beauty of Canada that sun is up and above most of the times in winter time to make our days brighter. So nice of him. Here at lakeside path is usually cleared of snow during winter, not done today. Maybe it is Christmas days, people go on vacation. There not be many staff to cover things. I am walking by the road side. It is better to take safety measures before any damage be done. Injuries and fractures are not good at any age. It will be drastic especially at our age.     Beautiful morning, all snow gone.Thanks to the rain last night. My deck is all clean and washed. Gold leaves are no more there. It looks a bit quiet. I can't see my friend the Black Squirrel. Birds are still not back from South of the Border. Canadian Beautiful pink roses and the blood red David Austin roses are taking a break. Seasonal violet, red and yellow flowers are also not here. They must be tired and need a break too. Grass is still green. So many trees are transformed into skeletons. Need moral support from their green colleagues around. The Magnolia tree in my front garden is done for the season. He is always the first one to make an announcement that spring is just around the corner. Get ready to celebrate.   December started about two weeks ago. New Year is on the way, and will be soon here. We had snow a couple of times. Today there is nothing just by the road side and by the side of walkways. Things have changed, I think, because of global warming. We now don't have heaps of snow and ice. I remember windchill used to be in September and snow used to start by November. From December to February used to be tough. People used to become tired like it will never end. I was in Ottawa thirty years ago. Winter over there used to be really tough. Ice floats on lake water even in March. Rideau Canal used to be changed into an ice skating rink. I joined a couple of things to get out to pass my cold days, long nights and short days. I used to get a monthly bus pass to move around. We have to find ways to make use of our time. Complaining won't help anything out. Nothing changes, we have to change our own self.     I am just done with my breakfast, and started my day a bit late. Every morning brings surprises at our age. We don't know which part of our body is not going to cooperate with our day to day plans. Same are the nights. We don't know how much sleep we will be getting tonight. Every stage of the cycle of our life comes with its own things. We have to tackle whatever comes on the way, while traveling through the trials of life. Life is like a bouquet with a bunch of beautiful moments like flowers. It also comprises other things like leaves and twigs. Flowers may have thorns too, like some bitter moments, we go through. Accept whatever comes on the way. We have to manage that. No one is coming to deal with. We have to make our own days, while managing everything out. Everyone likes to see happy faces. We have to take things with grace and dignity. We have to brush off our negative thoughts. Have to be brave to manage things and also have to put a smile on our face...

    Beautiful cold morning. It's a total change of scenery. Last week there was Gold scattered around. Golden leaves kept on showering from plants.  Now silver from up and above all around. Nature is great. It is like a photo album. Keep on turning pages. Every season comes with its own beauty. So much to enjoy and cherish. I am going to Tim Hortons. It's like my second home. I have to bundle up with layers with a woolen cap, stole and my heavy coat, which is hanging at the back in my coat closet. It's time to wear that one. Snow  storm is coming after 2 pm. I have lots of time for my walk and to be back by that time. Snow is still around. It is Canada my dear.     It's a beautiful morning. Sun is fully awake, looks happy, shining in full bloom, still 7 C below zero. There was light snow yesterday, now it has all melted down. My back garden is a bit quiet. Flowers are having a break, they are done for the season. My friend Black Squirrel has also taken time off, not coming for his exercises on the wooden fence of my garden. Birds, I think, left for South of the Border. I see many of them in the sky, traveling in groups, must be going to the next destination. It doesn't matter, they will be back after a couple of months. Twin Towers, I mean the two tall trees in the front garden of my next door neighbor, are also quiet. No activity there. I think they stopped renting apartments in their facility for a couple of weeks. They will be back to life after. Bird families like to come here. There used to be a buzzing atmosphere around these Towers on summer days.. Anyway this is the beauty of life. Things keep on changing. Time ...
